Nonprofits & Training Nonprofits & Training

Each 501(c)3 organization on LIVEGIVEmidsouth creates its listing by building a nonprofit profile. The nonprofit organization is responsible for providing all its information.

  1. The first step in building a profile is choosing a profile manager. This representative from your nonprofit is responsible for completing the required fields to have a profile published and for maintaining it annually.
  2. Once the profile manager creates an account, they will log in and begin completing the profile, providing information about your organization's management, board of directors, programs, financials, and contact information.
  3. We strongly recommend that profile managers attend a How to Build a Profile session before creating a profile. Click the PROFILE HELP SESSIONS tab to find a session that works for your schedule.  **March 13, 2020: In response to COVID-19, we have suspended in-person sessions until Mid-April. If you need assistance building or updating your LIVEGIVEmidsouth profile, please contact to Aerial Ozuzu.**
  4. Ready to build your profile? Get started.

LIVEGIVEmidsouth offers three types of group help sessions, as well as one-on-one Profile Coaching Sessions. Please register for the session you would like to attend so we can be prepared for all attendees. If you have a question about which session is right for you, email LIVEGIVEmidsouth Program Associate Aerial Ozuzu.

  • How to Build a Profile: This is the first session you should attend if you do not yet have a profile. During this session, we cover how different organizations and funders use the LIVEGIVEmidsouth system, how to complete a profile, resources for completing a profile, and how to maintain it annually.

           June 9 | June 18 (evening session)

  • How to Navigate Profile Challenges: If you have started your profile but are finding you need hands-on assistance completing it, join us at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library computer lab for this working session. Bring the items that are keeping you from getting published, and we will work on our profiles as a group. Please note this should not be the first session you register for, as it is a working session that does not include basic, entry-level instruction.

           May 6

  • How to Maintain a Profile: We understand that staffs change and duties get reassigned. The individual who started your profile may not be the same person responsible for maintaining it today. In this session, we will go over the basics of profile maintenance, discuss how a profile is used, and leave time for questions.

           May 27

  • Profile Coaching Session: The LIVEGIVEmidsouth staff holds 1.5 hour coaching sessions for profile managers working to build or improve a nonprofit profile. You identify three areas of the profile that you would like to work on, and your coach comes prepared with resources, ideas, and feedback on your profile. Email LIVEGIVEmidsouth Program Associate Aerial Ozuzu to request a Profile Coaching Session.
